• Read the owners manual (easy user guide). There's a keyboard function key that controls the back-lit keyboard.

• Hold the Fn key (right of the left-control key) and press F4, there are 3-4 brightness settings.

• Press fn button and f4 to brighten, fn+f3 to dim

• To turn it off and on though, you select the F5 key at the top of your keyboard and you can choose whether it is off or on.
