Q: QuestionIm looking to purchase a new gaming laptop. Would this laptop be able to run games like GTA 5 or the new DOOM or Elder Scrolls Online or Alien Isolation or Battlefield 4 on high or max settings? Does it run hot with a loud fan or is it quieter?

• A:Answer I'm not a gamer. I bought the laptop because of the brand name(Asus, Which I've had great luck with.),the CPU, size, the optical drive and sound system. I have a old version of PC, Doom 3 I intend to try on the unit which I have been advised may well play after I run the compatibility mode. Subsequent to my purchase I have been less than happy with the sound system but other than that and the abortion Microsoft calls Windows 10, I have been very satisfied with the laptop. I hope the Doom 3 plays. It seems the unit runs quietly and I don't hear a loud fan but I haven't run the unit with a game. I have run the unit for extensive periods on the internet without incident.

Q: QuestionWhat is the cooling system like? Does it overheat quickly and do the cooling fans make a lot of noise?

• A:Answer The cooling system is good, it works. When I first got the system I did notice some pretty warm air being expelled through the vent with just normal activities, but the fans were not noisy in my opinion. I upgraded the hard disk drive to an ssd and that eliminated that issue.
