Hi Ignacio, I have had some issues with the sound application on my laptop. The "HD sound" app that is pre-installed sometimes seems to override the system sound settings, other times the system sound settings override the application settings. I find it confusing that there are sound settings in 3 different places. I was also having sound/mic issues, but I found that when I purchased a headset with a USB connection (found a great one for $22 online), I had a much easier time with using a mic. I also had issues using a mic and headset while on Bluetooth. USB was the answer for me. The only other thing I can suggest is to try uninstalling the sound application completely and checking the ASUS site for any new sound drivers. That's what I was going to do next if I still had issues with USB. I hope that's somewhat helpful! -Sarah
