This laptop doesn't have a 2.5" SSD, nor the space of connecter to add one internally. However, you can upgrade the 1TB NVMe drive. It also has a free slot to add another NVMe drive. I had an extra 1TB NVMe drive and put it in the spare slot. Please note, you'll need to remove the back cover to upgrade or add an NVMe drive. That means removing about 14 screws and gently prying off the back cover.
