The way the rear exhaust is designed the closed lid doesn't block airflow at all, so in terms of making an appreciable difference of several degrees or more, no. The small difference in radiated heat from keeping the lid partially open may or may not be noticeable but is likely to have less than a degree impact. Having this on a ventilated pad or stand will more than offset any gain from a partially opened lid though!
