By all accounts the 3070 mobile should perform as well as a 2080-2080 Super desktop variant, which puts it leaps and bounds ahead of last years 2070 Super Mobile (both max-q and max-p). Combined with the potentially lower power usage of 90-115w, we're looking at a real contender for a laptop that you can daily drive for 3 years or more. The 2000 series added RTX but lacked that exciting performance uplift that we like to upgrade into. The 3000 series brings that uplift and refinement to the table and makes it a great generation to settle on for a few years.

All the data says it’s an improvement from last years model and it should support 1440 at a decent refresh rate.
