There is a YT video where they tried a Sabrent Rocket as the primary and it was ultimately unstable on battery. The guess is the stock Hynix drive doesn't pull a lot of power, so swapping it might be a challenge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what you mean about being able to upgrade to a 980 pro. Yes, it has 2 slots to either add or upgrade the stock with a 980 pro, but it will only run in PCI-E gen3x4 so you won't get the full gen 4 performance of a 980 pro.

As a main drive I’ve seen both sides saying it’ll run if you can clone the original drive successfully and then this video: https://youtu.be/KGVjV8ds_I0 So I personally wouldnt try it unless you have the means to revert if something goes amiss.
