Short answer is no on cables. And my provider does not care what router I use as long as I pay their monthly fee LOL It comes with a wan cable and it's own power source. Other then that and letting it do all the latest updates and me changing the default logins I did not have to do anything to be up and running
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Comes with power cord and one rj45 cat 5e cable
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes with everything to get IT going. You may need to contact your provider to change settings if you are not a network knowledgeable. We have ATT which USES a SINGLE modem/router combo device (model BGW). You are supposed to DISABLE ATT's BGW's ROUTER FUNCTION & ONLY USE AS MODEM. ATT would not or didn't know how. There was also a language barrier, which made it more difficult to explain. Att said insisted the only way to set up the Asus was to connect Asus to BGW via ethernet, (leaving current ATT wifi running). Then I had 2 wifi's for my house but the Asus was slower because it was connect via att's BGW. **Although ASUS SAYS their phone response is slower due to covid, the WAIT WAS SHORT TO SPEAK WITH AN ASUS TECH PERSON.** Calling ATT was more difficult to get past the auto voice response. Don't answer specific questions, only general one's. Then say, "representative" over and over until it agrees and asks what department. If you need to, go to your router's internet set up address, which starts 192.168.something.something. Take screen shots of each tab so you can ask specifically which items to change to what.
