Mine had 2x8gb. I replaced with 2x Corsair Vengeance 4800 16GB DDR5. Not sure about max. Not sure how significant a performance boost 5400+ would get you though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is 2 by 8 and the speed of the ram installed is 4800MHz
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Currently running two 32gb Ram Chips so 64gb also max per the ASUS specs in their literature. Corsair Vengeance 4800mhz $83.99 each but they were on sale a couple of weeks ago. Also added a 1TB ssd to the free slot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about other purchases of this laptop, but according to 3rd party software, the laptop came with 16 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz (Dual 2800 MHz) RAM by Micron Technology. So I am assuming that it supports a maximum of 5600 MHz, not 4800 MHz, as listed on the specifications for upgrades. The maximum GB upgrade it should be able to support is 64 GB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The RAM installed is always at the highest compatible speed, so when it says "4800MHz," that's the maximum. Also, it says there are two slots (filled) for a total of 16GB, so it is pretty safe to conclude that there are 2 x 8 GB sticks inside.
