Spectrum has a list of already approved modems. However, if your modem isn’t on the list, and it’s a “cable modem” you can call them, give them the numbers and they’ll put it in their system. I just bought Motorola - 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem. There was a similar modem listed, but that one wasn’t. I just hooked everything up and powered it on. I then called Spectrum and gave them the info on the modem. If you don’t have an information sheet b on your modem, copy the numbers off the serial tag on the bottom of the modem, It’s good to have that info because Spectrum needs the info to put the modem in service, and the manufacturer will need them for product registration. Incidentally, with the modem I listed paired with an ASUS - Wireless-AC3200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router, I can download complete music albums in less than 30 seconds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think everything will work with this router and all routers. I have a NETGEAR Nighthawk C7800 X4S AC 3200 DOCSIS 3.1 modem that I purchased from BestBuy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All Modems. All modems will work with this and any other WiFi Router. 1) Connect the Broadband (Co-Axial) cable into any modem. 2) Go out of the Network Port on the Modem (or network port #1) and into Network Port #1 on the Router and let the WiFi Router fully boot up. You should see all of the lights come up on both Modem and WiFi Router. Then connect the PC (or any other intelligent device ) to the WiFi using WiFi Name and Password. You should be good to go.
