I am typing this on a Q539ZD being charged that way. I do not know if you can charge at full speed over USB-C PD. The included charger uses a DC jack and is 150 W. A 45 W USB-C PD charger is sufficient to sustain light browsing. I am not certain why the manufacturer's answers to this question repeatedly state that you can't charge over USB-C. Maybe they have this laptop confused with older models that can't charge via USB-C?
