Each individual handset can be set to announce the callers name, such as: "Call from TWIN CITIES,MN".

Mine announces the caller but you cant understand what she is saying. Ready to throw away and replace my 10 year old phone who you can understand.

Yes it does except the blocked ones. If a caller is identified by name from their phone and not on your blocked list or allow list the phone says their name and tells you to press 1 if you want to answer.If they are on your allow list the phone says their name and you just answer.

It will anounce callers if it is setup to do so.
