This is a list of some of the features we find particularly useful (or potentially useful). 1. Handset keypad numbers and display characters are large and easily read, and sound quality is very good. 2. Any handset can access all system functions. 3. Handsets can call any other handset with an intercom feature. 4. Each handset's ring volume and tone can be adjusted individually, and can be set individually to not ring (stay "quite") for a period of time. 5. We can purchase and add additional handsets to the 4 which come with the system. 6. Existing telephones work along side (but are not controlled by) the system. We have several corded telephones which will work even if the electricity goes out. 7. We can choose how the system will process various types of callers: (a) Callers who are not already added to one of the system's several lists will hear an informative message and are asked to press the # key to prove the call is not a robocall (for those undesired calls from a live caller we can press the CALL BLOCK button on the handset to block future calls from that number); (b) Callers already added to the system's "Directory" (50 entries) are not intercepted; (c) Callers already added to the "Allow" (200 entries) list are passed through (no challenge); (d) Callers already added to the "Block" (1,000 entries) list are rejected with block announcement and no option to press the # key; (e) A "Star" (10 names) list is for those callers such as schools and health care providers who use the same caller name but more than one telephone number. 8. Using the CID list feature of the last 50 callers, the caller's name and telephone number can easily be added to the system "Directory" or one of the other lists.

This stops any calls without a real person. Requires a caller to listen to your (or built in) announcement to press the # key on their phone in order to get through. Very effective. Any corded phones you have connected will ring once for all calls, but when the AT&T system sees the caller ID it requires action by a person, and the ringing stops. If no corded phones are connected you will not even hear the first ring. Some friends have not gotten through because they didn't expect the blocking requirement, but you can add a list of acceptable phone numbers.

These phones were a replacement for some phones that seemed to have a couple of problems. They were another brand that we had owned for a lot of years. The new phones are meeting our needs although I have had some problems on the set up of the answering machine to be in sync with the message answering service that comes from our phone line provider. I still haven’t gotten this straightened out entirely. The other thing I noticed is when I unplugged the central unit, I lost some of the settings and had to reinstall them. Other than that they work ok.

I purchased this for my Dad. It has nice large buttons which is great for him. I have a different model then this and I like this model because it seems easier to use for him and has speed dial which for some horrible reason mine does not. The Smart call blocking is the best thing since peanut butter:) I tell everyone about it. The only bad thing with this model is that it only holds 50 names in the directory.. that is totally ridiculous... luckily that was fine for my 89 year old Dad but would not be OK for everyone else..

I bought this system with great trepidation. I just knew it would not be as good as they said and the audio would be bad. I WAS SO WRONG! From the quality of product and sound it is exceptional. My father in law is 91 and lives with us. He is very hard of hearing and this phone makes it easier for him to hear and make calls. We all noticed the quality in sound. It is nice being able to put one next to dad's chair and not have to run to answer it. Thank you for this phone set!

I know most people don’t have land lines these days but we have one so that when our unreliable cell phone service isn’t up to par, we can communicate, especially during inclement weather. These land lines are the best phones I have ever used and I’ve been around for 60 years. They provide a clear signal, no static, easy to use, clear displays, great voice mail and lots of options. I’m glad I found this phone!

We had a much older set of AT&T phones which served us very well for many years. However, due to age, the batteries in the handsets eventually deteriorated to the point that a longer call would be interrupted by the failing battery. This new set has very nice features for blocking unwanted spam-like robo calls, for communicating between handsets, and for saving contacts and speed dialing. I am very happy with this purchase.
