Q: Does this phone announce callers
A: Actually, this phone does NOT audibly announce calls. I purchased this phone on the basis of the previous commenter's statement. When I got the phone home, I could not find anything in the manual that referred to talking caller ID. So I called AT&T customer service directly, and the technician told me that this phone does not have that feature.
Q: Does this portable phone work with a landline phone?
A: Yes this is hooked up to my landline. I don't use the Bluetooth/cell phone connection
Q: Can you turn off the ringer
A: Yes. One of the main reasons I love this phone.
A: Will block up to 1,000 numbers.
A: You can turn off the answering machine portion and not use it.
Q: What type of battery does this use?
A: Does not use individual batteries. Uses a dual AAA NiMH rechargeable battery pack in each handset.
Q: Can you screen the calls as they are coming in?
A: This is a wonderful feature that enables me to identify who is calling and whether or not to answer the phone.
Q: What is the range on this phone?
A: I live in a four bedroom two bath house, approximately 2000 ft.². The coverage within the home is excellent as well Liz out on the lanai. Beyond that, I cannot tell you, as I don’t carry it around the yard
