• If you have caller ID service with your phone service provider it will display that info on the base and handsets.

• I haven't had it very long so I don't know if I can answer your question. I usually have my TV on and the call comes up on it. It has the caller go through some screening and it has greatly reduced my having to wait through 4 rings to find out who's calling. Most of the callers I don't want to talk to just hang up. Sorry I can't help you any further.
