The screen size is 1 9/32 x 1 9/32".

I would say Caller ID screen is at least 2" and large enough for them to easily read. My only complaint is the light display is not as bright white as it is on my Panasonic cordless phone, but for the price and size it should be perfectly fine for the person you are buying it for.
