- Answer YES. Audio Technica recommended upgrading the stylus to the AT-VMN95ML (red). It is a simple snap in replacement but provides much better sound. It retails around $150 though. You can also get the Ortofon 2M Red Moving Magnet Cartridge for around $99 but you will have to install the cartridge which is a little more work. Personally I feel investing in higher quality speakers is a better choice as most of the noticeable sound quality is from the speakers. I just bought an extra AT-VMN95E (green) stylus as a back-up since I am happy with the sound so far. I might try the AT-VMN95ML if I decide to upgrade the stylus. Check YouTube for other recommendations :) Enjoy your turntable!

- Answer You would need to purchase the AT-VMN95SP Replacement Stylus and change the stylus out when you want to play your 78s. You do not have to change the cartridge itself, just its stylus.

The quartz lock feature maintains stable platter rotational speed by using a quartz phase-locked loop circuit that compares motor rotation speed to a reference frequency generated by a quartz crystal oscillator. - Answer This doesn't connect through Alexa or wifi to my understanding. I believe the only wireless option is bluetooth and I don't believe most (if any) sonos speakers have blietooth capability. You can connect via a cable though.

- Answer There is no difference in the Bluetooth technology used in the AT-LP120XBT-USB-BK and AT-LP60XBT Turntables. I believe the model you are thinking of which had some compatibility issues was the former AT-LP60-BT Turntable. The "x" models use a different Bluetooth technology.

- Answer Yes they are. The legs are screwed all the way in (putting the turntable at its lowest height) for shipping purposes. Unscrew the legs to raise one or more corners of the turntable.
