The .500’ is an error on Best Buy’s website. If you click on the 0.500’ box the description will show the cable is actually 1 meter in length (3’ 4”).

It is a personal choice of money versus quality. 
 If you are tight on money, then do not spend it. 
But if you are free with money. Choose the best cable you can find. (Silver content does make a difference)

This cable is almost 7 feet as it is 2 meters with Hdmi and Ethernet connect in it , I have it I bought 2 but returning this one and using the shorter one. For 129.00 just from 
Connect box to Att. Box or DVD player hope this helps you.
