Yes, you will want to change out the door strike to a deadbolt strike and, you will have to buy a deadbolt lock, so that you will have a key from the outside of your room. You will need to use the backset as well. Good Luck! KFM
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It’s very unlikely you can use this with any interior doors. The issue isn’t with the door, but the hardware the door uses. It has to have a stand-alone deadbolt for August smartlock. The August keypad, however, can be used anywhere within close proximity of the smart lock.
