Yes, the August Smart Keypad is designed and tested for outdoor use. The operating temperatures that we have tested in are:

Operating Temperature: -13 to 122 Fahrenheit (-25℃ to 50℃)
Storage Temperature: -22 to 140 Fahrenheit (-30℃ to 60℃)
Operating Humidity: 0 to 95%

Nope. Didn't last even a year in Winter Park CO...Installed in Feb, stopped working in December. Plan on frequent replacements if you use this.

Yes I would say so . Mines is on my front porch and has been for the past month and it's seen some heavy wind and crazy rain in its short time and it still holds up with no problems ..

In Ohio myself, worked just great in the snow last weekend, no delay is usability or button detect or anything. It has a weather seal on the door to the battery compartment, better than any outdoor garage door opener I've ever seen so I have very little concern for it weathering the temps and snow and etc.
