In practice I have found it prudent to change the AAA batteries (2) every month ...likely to be less frequent if you put the unit into power saving mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.How much you use the keypad determines its battery life. It sits dormant until buttons are pushed from what I can tell. Then it connects via Bluetooth to the August lock and transmits the codes pushed to unlock the lock. You will get a notice in the August app when the batteries get low to replace them. They will still have some life for more door openings.
