• Hello, August locks are compatible with single-cylinder deadbolts. Since they do not replace the actual deadbolt the existing keys can still be used. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns. Thanks, August Home

• This replaces the indoor side of your existing lock. The keyed part facing the outside, along with the key, don’t change.
