“I plug ethernet cord into router and into the adapter and plug adapter into hp laptop. It shows it's connected, however I still continue to get disconnected from my wifi? Isn't it suppose to fix this problem? Or did I purchase the wrong thing?”

• You are connected to the web via Ethernet and it will automatically disconnect your Wi-Fi. There is no problem with the port extended.
