“Is this simultaneous dual band? Does this router allow connection on 5ghz and 2.4ghz bands at the same time. My 5ghz band in the neighborhood is empty, and I prefer that band. But, a few of my devices are legacy and can only use the 2.4ghz band. I need a router that will allow both at the same time”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it has both bands simultaneously. One is SSID that you choose and that the 2.4ghz and another is SSID.MEDIA and that's the 5 ghz band. I also have some old devices that connect to 2.4 and other that connect to 5 and everything runs flawlessly. Hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I find the 2.4 ghz travels farther in the home at reduced speed. (60 meg in same room, 12-26 meg in far away room) I find the 5 ghz to be fast in same room (80 meg and unable to connect at the far room) reverts back to the 2.4 ghz.
