• Yes. I had to use if this than that to get it to communicate. No other way just yet. Works great now.

• It is compatible with the Amazon echo which is a far superior product to Google home

• Yes and no. Google Home currently doesn't support this product so you need to use IFTTT to control it using voice commands.
