I use this to warm up an electric bed, which I prefer before I go in it. I used to leave it on all day or forget to turn it off. Now I can schedule when it comes on/off. It was easy to setup and access your home wifi network. The App is easy to use and you can see the device status. Wish wemo wasn't as bulky, monitor electric usage from app, also the led status light a bit bigger. Overall I would recommend this and am considering buying another for the living room.

This WeMo switch is so easy to use! You plug it in, connect it to your WiFi, plug your product into the switch, and then set up your WeMo app. From there, you can control whatever is plugged into this switch from anywhere in the world. Plus, you can set timers and it's also compatible with Echo so you can control this switch with your voice if you so choose. Another great feature of this switch is that it doesn't require a separate hub that eats up precious space on your WiFi router. The hub is built into the switch. Very convenient! The WeMo app is very easy to use and it's where you have full control of all your WeMo devices. It's straightforward and easy to configure as you add new products. I have Philips lights as well, and while I love their stuff, their app is not user friendly and is hard to configure and reconfigure. Overall I am extremely happy with all my WeMo products from these switches, to my Insight switches, and to my light bulbs. I plan on adding a camera as well. My one issue with Belkin, and it's a small one, is their initial set up. The instructions and timing on the WiFi pairing is confusing but easy to get around. I think some are turned off by this simple set back. Belkin is very responsive in wanting to help but it never came down to that for me. Past the set up, adding new WeMo devices is so simple. I really appreciate that, especially after adding new Philips lights and how difficult I found it. Again, the initial WeMo set up is not difficult, it's just awkward and still a breeze as compared to Philips. I really like the connected home products from Belkin and I'm really amazed at the convenience they give me and equally amazed at what I can do that I couldn't do before.

I love these devices. Just wish they were not as big. They cover nearly an entire outlet (that's why only 4 stars). But if you have the space they are great. I have a buch of them and use them with IFTTT.. (My lights flash to alert me of severe storms close by, turn on and off as I come and go via gps on my iPhone, and more). They have also improved over the last 12 months. Getting better with each update.

These switches work better than some of the competition like smartthings. Unlike most other HA systems WEMO works when your internet is down from home. As far as price very competitive and I think less expensive since there is no hub to buy also. And easy to setup and make conditional rules. Some wannabe programmers poopoo them due to the lack of an api, but these guys want a gadget not a reliable tool. It dies integrate with IFTTT so you can do quite a bit more than what the app includes, making it play well with other devices from other makers. The Amazon ECHO can control WEMO with natural voice commands and fairly fluid commands. My entire house uses WEMO, I removed Smartthings due to continual server issues on their end making it impossible to use often times. So WEMO is a great solution 4 WEMO Switch - 4 Insight - 16 WEMO Light Switches - 1 WEMO Link with 2 bulbs - 4 WEMO HD cameras - 1 WEMO Motion - and lastly 2 WEMO Makers. And I love them all

I've started to replace some outlet and light switches around the house to give it a more lived in look when we're not around. I'm not looking for complete automation like a Z Wave system so the Wemo system works perfectly. Installation was easy for both the outlet plug and wall switch if you're comfortable with simple home wiring. The finicky part was getting the app to talk to the switches to get them set up the first time and get the firmware updated. There was more than a few resets and reloading of the app but once I got it set up it works nicely. What seemed to help is not rushing the set up and just let the app churn for a while.

Ok, 100 times more uses than Belkin advertises. These should line the Xmas light isles in the stores. I put all of my xmas lights and trees on these things. I set the built in timers once and they worked perfect all season long. It was awesome to come home each night from work and my xmas stuff was already turned on. I also could adjust from my phone or tablet. Responce time from my phone or tablet is almost instant. Zero lag time from cell service or wifi service. I was actually turning stuff on and off from mexico. Super cool. BELKIN, LINE THE XMAS isles and advertise that they actually have built in timers. Why pay $20 for a dumb timer when you can get these things for a great price and are 1000 times better!!! FYI, I bought 5 of them, Ill buy more.

This outlet switch works perfectly with the Amazon Echo allowing you to voice control lights plugged into this switch. The iPhone app allows you to set the switches on timers. Great product!

I love my Belkin Wemo Switch. It honestly is one of the best things I bought. Easy Installation and Added Security The device was easy to install only took about 7 minutes to setup. The devices show as their own wireless connection, but after installing the app the wifi name of the devices disappears. This is a great because it then prevents anyone from "logging on" to the Wemo's devices and controlling them. Give access to another electronic device I live with a roommate, and I wanted to make sure they also had access to shutoff and turn on the device using the app. At first, I was apprehensive as some reviews said it couldn't be done. However, after you download the app, it was really easy. Away from home control The best function of this device is that you can literally be anywhere in the world and turn on and off your wemo device. You can do it manually or you can even set schedules of when you want it turned on and off. It's a lifesaver because sometimes I forget to turn off the lamp downstairs, but with Wemo I can be in bed already and just turn them off with my app. Connect to a Surge Protector You can connect a surge protector to it and power on multiple devices. You just gotta make sure you keep the power button on from the protector. Other Pros: Easy to Switch Locations Can Give Each Device a Name and Picture on the App Con: Takes up a good amount of space, but its totally worth it. If internet is out, you won't be able to turn the device on or off --> BUT You can push the button on the device to turn it on and off manually.

I have now purchased 6 WeMo switches. I bought these because I have a total of 6 security cameras in two locations. All of the cameras occasionally lose their connection with the internet and must be rebooted (turned off and on again). This required someone to be physically present to accomplish this. The WeMo switch lets me accomplish this from anywhere. The setup is a bit quirky, but the tech support was prompt and helpful and all of the switches are working well and, so far, have been reliable.

I got this for the Christmas season and it worked perfectly. A lot of the reviews mention it stops working. I had no issues with it for over the month that I used it for. I did find one small hiccup but the fix is so crazy easy that I didn't even take off for it. When you try to turn the unit on or off using the iphone app, sometimes you get the message that the unit can't be found. The fix? Close the app out then reopen it. Every time it fixed it right up and could see the unit. Anyone should be able to buy this with full confidence it will work as expected.

The Wemo Switch is super handy! I used it for my Christmas Tree this year and hooked it up to my amazon Alexa. I was able to program the wemo switch to turn off after an hour so as to avoid burning the house down with a live Christmas Tree. It was also nice to be able to turn the lights on when I got close to the house. Definitely recommend this product.

I purchased this we WeMo switch to control a 15,000 BTU air conditioner to come on and off at the appropriate times that I set in the schedule. The wireless switch turns on and off the air conditioner as scheduled and if my schedule changes I can wirelessly control the switch from my phone and turn the air conditioner on and off as I see fit. Truly amazing technology for a fairly inexpensive price, I'm so happy with my purchase!!

Pretty sweet multifunctional device. Setup was super easy and it can be controlled from multiple devices. It also works remotely which is fun. I like to mess with my fiancee by turning the lamp on and off when I'm gone until she threatens to unplug it ;) Could be used for anything though. Considering getting another for my old school stereo just to be lazy. Only small issue is that the app sometimes takes a little bit to load, but it's not too bad.

This product worked exactly as I expected and has done so flawlessly. The only thing I would really change is the documentation that comes in the box. If your setup fails due to a network hiccup you have to reset the switch back to factory and the instructions do not cover that, had to look them up online. Otherwise it has been smooth sailing and perfect performance. The app for iOS is fairly straightforward and has enough options to keep me happy.

I'm just getting into home automation products and thought this would be a good first step. The WeMo switch is easy to set up and use. The iPhone app is easy to learn and everything works. Every once in awhile the switch loses contact with my network, but I think it's a problem with my network, not the WeMo. In any case I just restart the app and it seems to link back up. I like it so much I plan to buy more. Works real well with my Amazon echo also.

I first used this switch to light up our Christmas tree. It was always hard to get at the outlet. I could program it to go on and off at different times of the day. I now am using it for a fan mounted in my garage. The outlet is in a hard to reach area, but now I can turn it off and on with the push of a button. I also can set different schedules. I have had no issues with setting it up at all. I plan to buy more!

I purchased this item as a means to control the lights in my house. I can control it from my smartphone or tablet plus I like the timer feature as well. The setup was really easy and the size of the item does not prevent the other socket from being used which was a concern for me.

The WeMo is very easy to setup and use. It took about 10 mins to get the app installed and the WeMo up and running. I'd give this one more star but it's bulky around the plug so it takes too much room, in my opinion, in the recepticle making it hard to impossible to plug in next to some other devices.
