Nope! As long as your switches are within range of your home WiFi, they're on the internet. This allows you to change the state of the switch from where ever you have internet access.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as your switch is in ur wifi network it works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It all depends how good your router is.... Best way to know if it will work take your phone to where you will install the switch and while on your wifi network check with your phone that you get at least 2 bars of signal at location
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has the same range as any other wifi device you use in your home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I live in Arizona and have used this while I am in different states on travel ( California, Nevada, etc.) and still able to turn on the lights with the wemo app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its really dependent on your wifi router. If you don't have one that has a decent range, it might not work so well. But I think it is more dependent on your router's capability rather than this device. I have mine hooked up at the opposite end of my house, furthest away from the router (at least 75' and a 4 walls away) and it works fine for me. But I have a big range on my router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is wireless N. It doesn't have the range of wireless AC. Still not bad though. You can add range extenders to improve connectivity. I use TP-Link range extenders. You can find them for under $20.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The range limitations should be the same limitations as your WIFI network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just like with all wi-fi devices, there will always been a a limit to how far the coverage will extend to allow for connectivity. As I am not sure what that number is, since there are many factors (wall thickness, obstructions, wi-fi signal strength, etc.). I have not had any wi-fi range issues even though my router is located in a closet on the 2nd story while the switch is located downstairs in my living room.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this product does not have range limitations when using WiFi.
