• Auto shutoff is 2 hours. This is industry standard, to ensure your coffee still tastes fresh. I had a little trouble getting used to that as well. If you need extra time, just turn the machine on again while the carafe is on the burner. You'll get an additional 2 hours from it. But for most of the time, you really do want to just make fresh at that point.
