• The only reason to have this Ethernet cable is if you wanted a wired internet connection to your device instead of wireless. Wired connections are generally more stable and are better if the WiFi signal is weak.

• Don't think you need it for a Blu-ray player since you're not streaming video that's only to access content so Wireless should be fine
