It works perfectly if you are using it for a pc. I reccomend getting it.
Didnt want to buy at first, was last moment urgency to get this cable because im remote worker and last one ripped accidentally and needed 50 ft or longer. None local store had this long. Ordered at amazon but was not gonna arrive at time, so my cousin told me bestbuy got one at affordable price. So i canceled amazon qnd get this one curside pick up next following day.
WORKS PERFECT SO FAR. LONG AND STRONG AND NOTICEABLE COLOR.
I bought this cable because my Ethernet port was on the opposite side of them room. I have been waiting for my wife to complain about it being across the bedroom floor but I haven’t heard anything yet. Maybe this cable is invisible to the woman’s eye? Maybe she’s colorblind to the color blue? What I do know is that I’m finally hitting 900mbps
I was setting ups some gear and needed direct connection over a distance that was longer than most cable. Best Buy offered up the item on line and it was noted that it was at my local store. I ordered it then 3 hours later went and picked it up. Thus, the entire transaction for this cable went without a hitch.
The cable itself comes in a drab plastic type of bag. This is no frills as they likely know those who order it wont care for inviting packaging. I would like to give this cable 4.5 stars but it only allows whole numbers. I would have given this cable 5 stars if the rj45 connectors on the end were of a higher caliber. Overall the cable does its job and the speed of transmission is reflected by its cat 6 designation.
I purchased this cable to go around the perimeter of our home office from the modem to my husband’s desktop computer. He had been connected wirelessly, but found that too many large files arrived corrupted. He needed a quality Ethernet cable for uninterrupted data transfer. So far, it’s been a couple of months and he’s been happy with this cable.
I was originally going to buy the 100-foot cable for remote work, but saw that I could get 50 more feet of freedom for a few dollars more. This means that I can reach the door for a glimpse of sunlight and still maintain a secure, fast Ethernet connection! An excellent purchase and great value.
Had a situation where I had run the cable across living room.
Item was available and was ready in a couple of hours for pickup at local store.
Nothing fancy and works as expected.
Very good connectors that stay connected.
A:AnswerAn ethernet cable allows for a wired (rather than wireless) connection to your internet. The cable plugs your computer to the back of the router. As a result, you get drastic improvements (most often in upload speeds) in internet connection. So yes, this will speed up your computer, but ONLY in terms of internet.
