• Your MacBook has to have an ethernet port. If so, you're good as long as the cable reaches far enough to get to your communication device (hub, router, internet modem, etc). If not, you'll need an adapter to convert the port you do have (firewire, thunderbolt, USB) to ethernet. I bought one here for about $30.
