However, it can technically be used to mount a TV vertically. Please note that if you mount a very small TV vertically, you may see the bracket (which is 18.23" long) extending out the sides of the TV. For a 50" TV, this should not be an issue. Remember to check the VESA mounting pattern on your TV to ensure compatibility. This mount supports VESA patterns from 75mm x 75mm to 400mm × 400mm.
