“The safety bolts are not making a good connection with the bottom of the plate. They seem to be slightly off-line so when I keep screwing it they go right past the plate and therefore do not secure it at all. Please advise!”

Mine is slightly off too. I just stopped screwing and have it firmly against the plate. It doesn’t move around and I’m able to move my tv in/out and side to side. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be that way but it’s been like that for a month so far and no problems at all.
