A:AnswerI am the one who asked the question and got an answer about a Fire Tablet. I questioned the blink mini camera. Way to go Amazon for not getting this even close :(
Here is their answer to my BLINK security camera question about an alarm on the camera -
Hello, LB! Yes, there is a way to track a lost Fire tablet, but it is not as precise or intuitive as Apple's "Find My" network. Because most Fire HD tablets lack a GPS chip, they rely on Wi-Fi triangulation to determine their location. This means the tablet can only be found if it is currently turned on and connected to a Wi-Fi network. How to Locate Your Tablet To find your device, you must have previously enabled "Find Your Tablet" in the settings. If you did, follow these steps: Log in to your Amazon account on a computer or phone. Go to the Manage Your Content and Devices page. Click the Devices tab and select your Fire HD tablet from the list. Click on the device name again to see more options, then select Find Your Tablet. If the device is online, Amazon will generate a map with its approximate location. I hope this helps!
A:AnswerYes, it sure does. And surprisingly well, I might add. No matter where I am, I can access the live feed (with or without a plan and with or without an usb) and I can just listen or have a full on conversation with those on the other end. Amazing product!
A:AnswerUnfortunately, as far as I have read, it can only be hooked up to phones. That is as far as I know. It does work with Amazon Alexa, if you have one of those.
A:AnswerThe Blink Mini has an operating temperature range of 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C). The Blink Mini is not waterproof and any exposure to moisture and/or temperatures outside the operating range will void its warranty.
A:AnswerThe Blink Mini is designed to operate on its own (no sync module required) however if you wished to use the local storage option available for the Blink Mini you would need to pair it with the sync module 2 and compatible USB flash drive.
A:AnswerI believe you must sign up for their monthly subscription unless you use a memory chip, but cameras and motion detection will not be accessible while away from property. I think Amazon/Blink has been dishonest and is unethical when they first sold their cameras. Should have purchased Wyze cameras.
