We have several sets of cameras and the battery life apparently depends on the amount of usage, quality of video chosen, infrared usage, live usage, and the distance and quality of the signal from the receiver and router. We have cameras up to and further than 300 feet away. The neares units get used the most and have longer battery life close to 2 years, one or two went over 2 years. The units located furthest away last about 9 months, a year, or just over a year.
