• You just have to make sure that it's in range of your wireless network. They are pretty easy to join to your network through your phone.

• if you have the blink system router then no. it will configure on its own but will require you to give it access to your wifi and will ask for password. i would recommend having all cameras with back cover off so you can quickly add by scanning UPC.
