A:AnswerYou can certainly split the cameras up from a 5-camera system to use in different locations as long as you were to purchase an additional sync module and both locations had wifi.
A:AnswerYou can download our app to as many compatible iOS, Android and Amazon Fire devices as you’d like, so the entire household can receive alerts or check in at home.
A:AnswerThis may be possible since the Blink cameras are battery operated, however the Blink System would need access to internet/wifi and the the sync module needed to operate the Blink cameras would need to be plugged into a normal wall outlet and within 100ft of the cameras at all time. The sync module does come with a USB and correct power adapter. They are 110/220V compatible. It is also possible to plug the Sync Module into a USB but could be unreliable. Make sure your USB is at least 5W/1AMP or it will not power.
A:AnswerAssuming a fairly standard home (single building, no unusually dense construction materials), the Sync Module should be able to communicate with Blink camera units up to 100ft away in any direction. As far as how far away the system can be from your wireless router would depend on the strength of your internet/wifi, we recommend at least three bars of signal strength for optimal performance.
A:AnswerYou cannot currently access your Blink system from your computer. The Blink App is currently only compatible with iOS mobile devices running 10.3 or higher, Android mobile devices running version 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher and Fire OS mobile devices, running software version 5.1 or higher
A:AnswerThe camera that I have installed farthest from the base unit is about 40 to 50' away but I don't know what the maximum is. I hope this answers your question.
A:AnswerBlink does currently require a 2.4ghz WiFi-based Internet connection to operate and we currently only offer our cloud storage option for the Blink camera systems accessible via the Blink App.
A:AnswerWhile the Blink System does integrate with the Amazon Alexa-enabled devices, you do not need one of these to operate the Blink System. The Blink App is currently compatible with any iOS mobile devices running version 10.3 or higher, Android mobile devices running version 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher and Fire OS mobile devices, running software version 5.1 or higher
Currently Blink only integrates with IFTTT and Amazon Alexa-enabled products.
A:AnswerYes. You can schedule the system to turn on and off at certain times by day.
You can also turn it on or off from your phone.
Generally, I turn it on at night automatically at my bedtime. Then I turn it off when I get up because I do have a camera inside, thinking that if I get an alarm from outside, then an alarm from inside, I will have time to be prepared.
A:AnswerThe USB port on the back of the camera can be used with a MicroUSB cable and power adapter (not included with your camera) to power your cameras rather than using batteries.
