That explains why my phone is not compatible. I didn't know that Verizon had purchased Tracfone. That's too bad and seems like bait and switch but there's not a lot I can do about it now. It works well when I'm abroad, with a sim card but while I'm home, it's basically a camera.

Verizon has bought out Tracphone and Straight Talk and doing away with all towers except they're own .. so that's why .. at the time of the listing it would have or should have but since the buyout and what Verizon is doing .. they will no longer work since they are GSM network phones and Verizon is still on the old network .. most geeks would tell you that Verizon needs to get with the times !
