It must be GSM phone and unclocked. Bestbuy has variety of selections ranging from Motorola to Samsung phones. Those will work anywhere in the world and on the moon!!

Data plans varie wherever you go. Most carriers have pretty good alternatives. To all major ones Verizon AT&T Tmo. My faves are Boost Mobile Cricket and Visible.
