Can I move major apps from internal memory to SD (external)? I.e. - facebook Ok so I love to use Facebook, and with a better phone it would be ideal to run more than just facebook. Can I move apps like Facebook, snapchat, Instagram to th external memory drive? I would love to get this phone, but with the complaints on storage i don't think I'm going to get it without complete confidence that after I buy it along with a external (32/64mb SD) and have full accessibility to move the social media applications from internal to external to have more space internally.

No, not unless you root the phone and then install an app like Link2SD or Move2SD. Newer Android phones are not capable of moving apps from the internal memory to SD cards without rooting the phone. This change took place beginning with Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) and is still unavailable using Android Kit Kat or Jelly Bean which are the current operating systems. This phone has Kit Kat.

I have the Desire 612 which is the rebranded 610 sold under Verizon.
You can move apps to the SD card as long as the App developer added the support to it.
Facebook doesn't support it as I checked on my Desire.
But Snapchat can be moved to the SD so it's some apps will be able to be moved to external storage and some wont. Which ones will, you will have to check on yourself.

I've got this phone. I have a 32 gig sd card and no storage space to do updates. Most if not all apps preloaded on this phone can't be moved. If you uninstall preloaded you would have to root the phone which I'm not comfortable doing.

I added 64 card didn`t help with app storage. Still says out of space!

No u can't I had the problem cause the internal phone memory is only 4gb I went out and bought a 16gb memory thinking I can transfer some of the apps to my memory card but u can't but there's things u can do to save a lil bit of space but not much though u can put all ur music files and pics on ur memory card but not the apps that comes with the phone u can call HTC company and they will walk u thru a lil process on how to save space but it didn't really helped that much

You can but you have to root the device. I have "Move To SD Card" APP & it moves the ONES it can (some) and the ones it can't (without routing) it won't.

Bad storage phone...

Unfortunately you had to do if you want run app like you meant but also you can use apps cleaner and that helps a lot
