• Once you purchase a refill card for the phone you can walk through the steps to activate. It will give you a new number or ask if you have a number you want to port over.

• No it doesn't come ready to go with phone number. You have to go to boostmobile.com or call boost to activate the phone and get a phone number. Boost website walks you thru the activation/get phone number process.
