A:Answer100% bottom rack is terrible. It is a nightmare to load. Worst design of a bottom dish rack....perhaps in the history of humanity. What were the engineers thinking????
A:AnswerThe Bosch dishwasher does have drying cycle, but it doesn't have a heating element in the bottom. Bosch uses hot air distributed from a vent in the lower back side of the left side panel. This prevents spilled food or small plastic ware from falling on the element and burning. Dishes are dry when the dishwasher completes its cycle.
A:AnswerI have the black stainless Bosch on one wall by the sink. It is a matte finish. I have the Samsung range and microwave on another wall. The finish is semi gloss. It suits me fine as I like both my products. No one ever notices that they are slightly different finishes. The gray is the same just the finish a little different.
A:AnswerNo it does not. You need to buy a dishwasher install kit or buy the parts individually. It needs a water line, right angle hose bibb connector to whatever size your water line is (mine was 3/8 compression) and you will need a power cord. Even if replacing an older unit I recommend changing these parts just to be on the safe side since the kit is only about $30 and an old water line can cause much more in damage if it leaks.
A:AnswerHi there, thank you for your question. During the washing and drying cycle there will be a red dot that illuminates on the floor, letting you know your dishwasher is in-use. Once the cycle has completed the light will disappear and the dishwasher will chime.
A:AnswerFirst thing I'd check is that the rinse aid dispenser is full. If so, go to pages 12 & 13 of the manual to check the rinse aid setting. It should be set to at least r:04 for good drying results. 5 is the factory default. It may have been accidentally changed.
The only other thing I can think of is to make sure the water outlet hose has the required loop in it going to the drain. It may not be emptying all the way & making it harder or impossible for the machine to dry the dishes because of excess water staying in the machine. I added pics of both scenarios for you to compare.
A:AnswerThis is my 3rd Bosch 800. (We move a lot and replace the existing DW with a Bosch). I add forgotten items all the time. I think you have to press “start” again. I also use the speed wash exclusively.
A:AnswerI use the cycle that takes 2:25minutes. Even with that amount of time, the dishes and utensils, are not 100% dry. However, they are exceptionally clean and I love that the dishwasher is almost silent.
A:AnswerFor my model made 2023 the pocket handle has a white indicator light on the front . It stays lit while washing and when cycle is done it beeps and the white light goes out . No more red light shining down on floor !
A:AnswerHi Eileen. Thank you for your question. The SHPM78W55N does have RackMatic on the middle rack which allows it 3 height positions and 9 total positions. It can also be run with the rack on a slanted position. The third rack is also flexible as both sides drop down to allow for placement of larger utensils and it also has a few fold down tines at the front of the rack for larger handled flatware and utensils.
A:AnswerDepending on how dirty your dishes are and the temperature of your water, most cycles are around 2 hours give or take a few minutes. A chart in the book shows the heavy cycle time to be 110-135 minutes, auto cycle is 105-129 minutes, economy cycle is 75-85 minutes, normal cycle is 130-135 minutes, and the speed60 cycle is 60 minutes. If you actually want more choices, the half load times and delicate times are shorter, the sanitize, extra dry, and extra scrub cycles are slightly different times. I usually just use auto or normal and have been amazed at how clean everything comes out.
A:AnswerHi Hubie. Thank you for your question. The 800 Series Pocket Handle Dishwasher includes a junction box which allows for a hard wire installation. It can also be connected via the wires to a plug. You can also order the direct Bosch power cord, model #SMZPC002UC for this unit.
A:AnswerHi there. Thank you for your question. Depending on the cycle you have chosen, 209 may be the length of the cycle. And yes, We suggest using Finish Quantum Tablets and Jet Dry Rinse Aid together along with the Sanitize Rinse Option.
