Absolutely. I can play music with this device. They have an upgrade that is WiFi as well as blue tooth. I couldn’t afford that option but am happy with the sound quality this has to offer

Bluetooth is not a requirement to play to this system, and this system can receive and play audio from 3 different means. These are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and AUX. The Wi-Fi source requires the system to be connected to your home Wi-Fi network through the Bose SoundTouch app, where you can play radio stations, playlists, tracks and more through the services available here. If using Bluetooth, this would require a connection between these two compatible devices, in which case the speaker will play all audio from the original device if possible. The same is true for the AUX input, but this uses a direct cabled connection to achieve this. We hope this helps answer the question!
