It's wifi and Bluetooth connected. With Bluetooth, about 40ft max. With wifi, you could reach up to 150ft from the router depending on the router. With a cd player, it wI'll have to be connected via cable unless it's connectable with one of those two options
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There wouldn't be an exact answer but if it's 80' without walls or obstructions it's possible but not probable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From my experience ....If it's over wifi you just have to be within your wifi range. If it's over Bluetooth it only goes about 30-40 feet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not just a speaker. It's an internet radio and speaker. It works with internet radio providers like Pandora, iHeartRadio, etc. It can connect to your home music library on iTunes as well, along with a ton of internet radio stations. It can also connect via bluetooth. With that said, it's 80 feet range will work if it can connect to your router from 80 feet away. I suggest you to to Best Buy and check out their display and talk to one of their customer service representatives to get a better understanding as to what the Bose Soundtouch is capable of.
