Just as comment, it sucks it has no battery, I just went with the advertised name (title) of the devise because it says WIRELESS really it's the reason I bough it. It seems that I had to research and read more about it before buying it. I'm probably return it, it just was delivered today.

Correct, it is a corded device that needs plugged in. It is not “portable” in the sense that is uses electricity. However, it is lightweight and can easily be taken outside and plugged in for use in your backyard.

As the SoundTouch 10 speaker does not feature a built-in battery, the speaker operates from a mains (AC) power supply.
