It is recommended that all of your other devices be hooked to your TV, then only the one HDMI Arc cable (included with the sound bar) connected from the TV (if equipped with HDMI Arc output) will deliver all of the device's sounds without lag. (Next to the output your TV will say, HDMI Arc if it is so equipped.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you intend on using HDR, why not input the game console direct to the TV? Then let the HDMI (ARC) capability of the Bose Soundtouch 300 capture the sound signal from the TV. This way the game console would have a direct input to the TV to minimize lag. If you have a game console capable of HDR then you have to have a TV capable of HDR as well. Otherwise, if the TV is not HDR capable you will not get any of the benefits just because the game console supports it. Which means you have a TV capable of HDMI (ARC) support. So, connect game console direct to TV and set up ARC control to send the sound to the soundbar. Then let the TV control the soundbar on/off function.
