They require access to power and need to be in the same room as the sound bar so the Bluetooth connection will be strong enough. Please note that the power adapter/Bluetooth receiver is larger than the speaker. In the photo attached you will notice the size of the two adapters (one per speaker) as compared to the one speaker. Don’t mind all the wires laying about, I haven’t finalized my installation. I’m waiting on the electrician to run dedicated power outlets for the speakers on the back wall of the room.

The Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers, Acoustimass 300 bass module and the SoundTouch 300 soundbar all need to be connected to power. Then, the surround speakers and bass module can pair with the soundbar wirelessly. For additional assistance with the setup, please contact our SoundTouch support https://bose.life/1RwxI8E. We hope this helps! Josselyn - Bose Support

Plug the head set base in the back at the middle of the bar as marked. Go sit at your favorite location(s) with the head set on, follow the instructions that are verbally given to you from the speaker using your Bose remote. Done. The Sub just has to be hooked up to a wall outlet preferably with a surge adapter and it pics up automatically via Blue Tooth. If you buy latter on the small surround sound speakers, redo the same procedure and works the same way with some different numbers you enter as it gives you verbally via the bar.. That's it. If all else fails, call Bose Tech Support.
