The digital display automatically pulls up a timer so you know how long the setting will be (example, that it will be 2:30 for your toast). However, you can also add or subtract time if the predetermined amount doesn't match your intention, like when you are baking an item.

It has the option of adding or deleting time on the timer-you would have to figure out yourself how much to add or delete-trial and error.

The Breville® BOV450 Smart Oven® Mini does not have an integrated kitchen timer, a timer that can be set to count down without the oven actually having a function engaged. There is a time adjust dial for the length of the function but no kitchen timer.
