Q: QuestionBack panel of oven has 2 "clip-like" pieces of notched hard rubber that protrude from the bottom of the oven that appear to be designed for for storing excess length of electrical cord. Is this the correct use for these clips?

• A:Answer No. I think those hard rubber/plastic protrusions are heat resistant "bumpers" making sure you don't place the oven so the back is too close to the wall. It may not be a good idea to wind the cord around the bumpers.

Q: QuestionThere is a discrepancy in your listing of the size of the oven. In the Specifications you list one size set (Width 17.7 ", Length 12.9", Height 10.5") and then a different size set (W 15.5” x D 14” x H 8.7) in the Questions section. Which is correct?

• A:Answer I just bought a Mini Smart Oven (11-12-2021). The dimensions I measure are 16" W x 14" D x 8.75" H. There are 2 plastic knobs on the left side of the unit (visible in a product photo), presumably to prevent someone from pushing the unit tight against a cabinet. These stick out roughly half an inch. Therefore, I'd say the width is technically 16", not 15.5". All of these measurements include protruding items like bumpers, and the handle. Breville's website lists the dimensions as 17.7" W x 12.9" D x 10.5" H, and I'd say those measurements are incorrect. It's possible they apply to some other oven that they sell.

• A:Answer I would not recommend placing any food item directly on top of the oven. I believe Breville sells an oven-top board that you can place on top of the oven if you plan on using that space to store items. Again, surface gets very hot so do not place anything on top that is not heat resistant.

Q: QuestionWill this Breville broil a small steak? What size steak?

• A:Answer Absolutely you can broil a steak and other meats. Size limited only by 11” pan size. It doesn’t come with a broil pan, but the baking pan will work. I bought a smaller Nordic Ware pan at Penney’s that works well for two 4-5 inch pork chops, chicken breasts, salmon filets. The company does make a broil pan and 11”inch pizza pan, but they were sold out. I was able to leave an email to be notified when they have them.
