• The Breville Smart Oven Pro has 5 heating elements -- 3 at top, 2 at bottom. Function selection (ie, toast, roast, bake etc.) will dictate which elements, and how many, are engaged.

• It doesn't have heating elements itself and relies on a grill or oven for heat. My grill has 4 elements and heated this to temp just fine.
